Frequently Asked Questions

To begin your WellnessPlus™ Genomics consultation, we first need access to your DNA data.

You can obtain this in one of two ways:

Use a Public offer DNA Test
You can get DNA raw data services such as 23andMe or AncestryDNA, they will extract your raw DNA data for us to analyze as part of your consultation.

Get a DNA Kit from Sage Plus
If you prefer a more private clinical option, you can purchase a DNA testing kit directly from Sage Plus Clinical Pharmacy. Cost: $390 per kit.

The kit is simple and easy to use:

  • Collect your saliva sample at home

  • Package the sample using the provided materials

  • Drop it off using the prepaid Canada Post shipping label

Once your DNA data is available (4-6 weeks) , our team will review your results.

Great! Now that you’ve received your results, the next step is to analyze them. We’ll set up a quick 5–10 minute phone appointment to go over the DNA data transfer process.

Once the transfer of your DNA raw data is completed, we will send you our intake form. This form helps us better understand what you’re experiencing from your perspective and allows us to tailor our analysis to your specific needs.

Through the form, we will also obtain your authorization to access your Alberta Netcare profile. If you are not from Alberta, you will have the opportunity to upload any relevant medical tests that you would like us to review.

Reviewing your tests is important because they provide insight into your current health status. This allows us to evaluate your health from three perspectives:

  1. Your DNA – the “real” you

  2. Your perspective – information from the intake form

  3. Your current health status – your lab work

Once we have reviewed everything, we will schedule a time to go over your results and your personalized plan so you can better understand your body and how to support your health.

The initial consultation is usually 1 hour long. During this session, we will help you understand how your body works and present a personalized plan to start improving your health.

Follow-up appointments are typically 15–30 minutes and are scheduled as needed, depending on your genetics and how much we are currently working on together.

We prefer for you to do your initial consultation to be in person, but not necessary.  Most follow-up conversations are done virtually.

  • Initial Upload/ Analyzing: $150 per DNA file

  • Initial Consultation: $270 per hour

  • Follow-up Sessions: $50–$150 depending on the time and effort required
