Frequently Asked Questions

Perimenopause and menopause are natural transitions, but symptoms can significantly affect quality of life.

  • Perimenopause: The transition phase (often starting in your 30s–40s) where hormones begin to fluctuate
  • Menopause: Defined as 12 months without a menstrual cycle, typically occurring around age 45–55

Hormonal changes—especially in estrogen, progesterone, and sometimes testosterone—can impact your physical, emotional, and metabolic health.

Consultation fees vary depending on the time required and the complexity of care.

As a patient of Sage Plus Clinical Pharmacy, hormone-related guidance is included as part of our standard care when your medication is dispensed. This education and support are covered within the dispensing fee (VAS)—there are no additional charges for this level of service.

For patients requiring more comprehensive or in-depth support, we offer private one-on-one consultations. These sessions allow for a detailed review of your health history, symptoms, and personalized care planning.

  • Private consultations start at $250

If more advanced care is appropriate, this will always be discussed with you beforehand so you can make an informed decision.

Complimentary Meet & Greet

We offer a complimentary 15-minute meet & greet for all new clients. This initial conversation allows us to better understand your health concerns and determine how we can best support your needs.

The WellnessPlus™ Genomics program provides a personalized understanding of how your body uniquely regulates and responds to hormones.

Through advanced genetic analysis, this program helps identify how you:

  • Metabolize and process hormones such as estrogen, progesterone, cortisol, and thyroid hormones
  • Detoxify and eliminate hormones through key pathways
  • Utilize essential nutrients that support hormone balance

These insights allow for a more precise and individualized approach to care.

Importantly, genomics can help guide decisions around external hormone use, including hormone replacement therapy (HRT), by identifying how your body is likely to respond, metabolize, and clear these therapies. This enables safer, more targeted, and more effective treatment planning.

By combining genomic data with clinical hormone assessment, we move beyond a one-size-fits-all approach—creating a strategy that is tailored specifically to your biology.

Laboratory testing plays an important role in understanding how your body is functioning at a specific point in time.

Whenever possible, we work with existing lab results to maximize efficiency and minimize unnecessary costs. Our goal is to make the process as convenient and cost-effective as possible for you.

Depending on your individual health concerns and clinical needs, additional testing may be recommended to gain a more comprehensive understanding of your condition. If further lab work is required, this will always be clearly discussed with you in advance.

We also offer access to private laboratory testing, allowing for more in-depth and specialized assessments when appropriate.

You are not required to discontinue any of your current therapies.

During your consultation, we provide guidance to help you understand how to safely and effectively integrate Eastern and allopathic (conventional) medicine. Our approach is collaborative and evidence-informed, ensuring that all aspects of your care work together cohesively.

We prioritize recommendations that are clinically appropriate, safe, and aligned with your individual health needs, focusing on what is both practical and effective for you.
